Blue-ray Mastering
BD Media specs

Expedia Media needs to get a BDCMF image. The authoring tools that we are aware of that make this format are Sonic Solutions Scenarist and Sony Blu Print.

To your right is an excerpt from a slide showing the files that are inside a BDCMF. The files in red are mandatory

There is another type of image called Sony CMF. Technically we can receive these and process them with our BD system. These images will also come from the same authoring systems we mentioned, but they will not have been converted by the author to the more standard BDCMF.

The files contained in a Sony CMF would be slightly different
Sony CMF Files should be:

  • CPTBL.DAT
  • PAC.DAT
  • PIC.DAT
  • UCD.DAT
  • UD.DAT

Important Note: If you are thinking about sending a BD-R as media please read this: Most BD-R software is creating a format that is used for home movies (BDAV). This format is not suitable for replication because pre-recorded media needs to be in a BDMV format. BDMV has a different structure totally and we cannot convert a BDAV to a BDMV. Please send the BDCMF image on portable USB hard drive.
